A key step for electric mobility in France

IONITY has just crossed a new symbolic threshold in France: the installation of its 1000th charging station in Bessoncourt. An important moment that demonstrates the company’s commitment to support the growth of electric vehicles (EVs) and enhance their accessibility. The company has 168 stations operational across the country. It continues to invest to provide its users with reliable, fast, and sustainable charging stations.

This expansion is set against a backdrop of strong demand as the French market is one of the most dynamic in Europe in terms of electric mobility. In 2024, the use of IONITY stations recorded a 68% increase. This is a clear indicator of the growing adoption of electric vehicles and the confidence of drivers in the proposed solutions. IONITY aims to meet this rising demand. To achieve this, the company is strengthening its infrastructure and diversifying its installations.

A service tailored to drivers’ needs

To meet charging needs, IONITY distinguishes itself with its ultra-fast 350 kW charging stations. These stations allow for charging up to 300 km of range in just 15 minutes, a performance that makes all the difference on long trips. But the company does not stop there. It plans to extend its coverage to urban and suburban areas. At the same time, it is developing hybrid stations, designed to combine the accessibility of highways with proximity to urban centers. This is the case, for example, of the Bessoncourt station, located in a strategic commercial area. It has 12 high-power chargers, making this a particularly significant step in the development of the network.
