The company Hystar AS recently signed an agreement with Fortum, a Finnish energy company primarily controlled by the state, to supply a 0.75 MW electrolyzer. This equipment will be used at Fortum’s pilot hydrogen plant located in Källa, Loviisa, Finland.
Deployment of the Pilot Plant
Fortum’s hydrogen pilot plant, scheduled to be operational by the end of 2025, is located east of Helsinki. It will produce hydrogen through the electrolysis process, which involves using electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen.
Equipment Provided by Hystar
Hystar will provide a 0.75 MW containerized PEM electrolyzer. This system will allow for efficient and portable hydrogen production. A filling station will also be constructed in conjunction with the plant, thus facilitating the delivery of hydrogen to industrial customers.
